Pansy with Cord Knot Card

Description

A square pearlescent mauve deckle edge card has a blue skeleton leaf mounted on the front. Above this is Mizuhiki cord knot. A cut-out fabric pansy completes the motif. The card is edged in silver pen.

Materials used

• Pearlescent mauve deckle edge greeting card 100mm x 100mm (4 ins x 4 ins)
• Blue skeleton leaf
• Mizuhiki cord in silver/mauve
• Pansy flower fabric
• Double-sided self adhesive sheet
• Silver pen
• Double-sided self adhesive mini foam pads
• Small scissors
• Adhesive

Method

Mount the blue skeleton leaf on the front of the card using the illustration as a guide. Fix the leaf with a small patch of adhesive in a place that will be hidden when the fabric flower is added.

Shape the Mizuhiki cord into a decorative knot and mount on top of the leaf.

The flower fabric is stuck to one side of a double-sided sheet. The back of the sheet is left to form a base. Cut around the design with scissors. Mount on the front of the card with double-sided self-adhesive mini foam pads using the illustration as a guide.

Edge the card with a silver pen.
