A mauve greetings card has a pale mauve panel secured with a silver ribbon bow. The card is decorated with rows of tiny glass beads stitched in place with silver thread. Between the rows of beads are strips of silver stickers. Designs from Aribé templates B and H are used on this card. Use the detail photo and line drawing to guide you with the patterns used. Place your card on a pricking mat. Lay your Aribé template in position over your card and prick out the design with an Aribé pricking tool. Stitch the beads in place. The thread is attached to the back of the card with a small piece of adhesive tape. On the pale mauve card going from left to right we have: 1. A silver sticker strip. This is the waste left behind between two border strips. 2. A strip of stitched glass beads in pale blue and mauve. Use Aribé template B. 3. A strip of tiny flower stickers with pale blue glass beads stitched in the centre of each. 4. A strip of stitched beads in clear glass and opaque mauve. Use Aribé template B. On the right hand side of the mauve greetings card we have another sticker strip then a strip of clear glass beads and pale blue glass beads. Use Aribé template H. The pale mauve card is attached to the greetings card by punching two holes and securing it in place with silver ribbon tied in a bow. Aribé beaded card made by Trish Caudle and reproduced with kind permission. Please note that this is an old project. It is left here for the interest of the reader.
